Needlers’ 2009 + A Bath
Nov 9th, 2009 by Deb
This past weekend I hosted the Eastern Ontario Needlers’ Retreat. A group of 65 knitters (including 2 brave spouses) got together at the scenic Glen House Resort on the St. Lawrence River in Gananoque, Ontario. Here is the view from my room (and from most of the rooms).
This year, the person who originally started the Retreat, Mabel, had retired. So we added a little retirement party to the agenda.
Check out the view from the dining room.
Most people had a great time. In fact, if there was someone who wasn’t having fun, I didn’t hear about it (and I should have so I can correct the problem for next year). We had 3 great workshops, lots of inspiring show-and-tell and were fed to bursting with excellent food.
I also took some Sheeps Ahoy stuff with me to sell at the Vendors’ Night. All of my Hibiscus Kits
were sold before I even got the shop set up! I will be ordering lots more so fret not if you were hoping to get one. They will be back in stock very soon. In fact, I didn’t even manage to save enough wool to knit one myself!
When I got home Sunday night I was pleased to find this.
Yes, the bathroom is finished.
If you look very carefully you will notice a lit candle and the bathtub is filling. Yes, I took a long, relaxing bath in my new tub. And then I slept like a log! The tub gets an A+.

Yeah! Bathroom is finally done!
Kudos for organizing the retreat…I had a great time!
The bathroom looks amazing!! I’ll bet you enjoyed that bath
. It surely was well-deserved.
